Evening at the River

Living just a few miles from the Saskatchewan River, I have a great opportunity to get outside and get some fresh air and sunshine. This week has been extremely hectic here at BB&H and needing a break from long list of todo's I needed to get done, The Bovine crew heading to the river for a sanity check.

Little Miss Bovine has decided that she wants to wear headbands and the likes so when she came to me wanting "something that no one else has", I knew just where to go. Lil' Miss and I browsed her oh so sweet shop filled with some of the cutest hats, pinafores, aprons and other tempting sundries when we came across two headbands that she decided she must have.

Here she is wearing The Jelly or the Egg wide headband. (Note the smile. This is not a usual occurrence in the mornings around here) We also got Pink Japanese Sweets which she plans on wearing tomorrow.

Bag Swap

A friend and fellow estian is hosting a "bag" swap from her blog and I thought it would be neat so I added my name. I found some neat tea towels at a discount store and decided to attempt to make a bag using them. I am so not a seamstress....iIwill stick to soapmaking.

Spring has finally sprung here in the gateway to the North and with that we have baby chicks. Put these little guys (and girls) into the incubator on the first of April and late last night they started peeping. You can see we have lots of wee ones working hard on making their escape.....

And here is the first and newest addition to the Bovine Household. Lil Miss insisted I name him.....I now call him Dinner :)

During lil Miss Bovine's week off from school for Easter break we have been attempting to find low cost ways to keep her and I equally entertained. Yesterday she asked that her school chum come for a visit. About an hour and 100 "Mom, what can we do"'s later, I dug out the old digital cameras and sent them out for a bit of fresh air and sunshine. They had a lot of fun and I thought I would share their very creative photos. Not bad for two 6 year olds :)
